Women & Wine on Wednesdays was created by Linda Brewster Meffert in early 2005 in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a way for women to improve lifestyle balance by re-connecting with friends, making new acquaintances, and being open to develop new ideas and relationships.

Christy Hackenberg and Gaby Tillero created the branding for the concept, after mutual friend, Sandra Lombana introduced them to Linda Meffert. The four women founded the New Orleans location in 2005.

Over the years, many women in many cities have come to enjoy this same opportunity made available by the expansion of Women & Wine on Wednesdays into cities around the country.

Greetings from the San Antonio Founders

Charity Matthews, Carrie Anne Silvers, Arlene Duncan Post, Linda Brewster Meffert

"We're so happy to bring this unique concept to San Antonio,
and are committed to the mission of helping connect women in San Antonio.
We're proud to be the 14th group of Women & Wine on Wednesdays.
Our first event was held in October 2011, and it's already far exceeded our expectations.   We look forward to seeing you soon!"

Linda Brewster Meffert first began Women & Wine on Wednesdays in 2005, as a way to bring together like-minded women to share resources and collaborate to create new opportunities to improve both ourselves and our community.  Since then, many others have come to enjoy this unique opportunity as the concept has been selectively launched in many other cities.  Linda loves being a Texan – what a great place to enjoy some of her favorites things: enjoying good wine and delicious food with interesting people, anything art-related, traveling to new places, helping the community, and of course - coffee!  For more info on Linda's latest venture, the San Antonio Coffee Festival, click here.
